Celebrity's Relative

The Resume

    (March 23, 1989- )
    Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
    Birth name is Ayesha Alexander
Canadian-American model, actress, and celebrity chef
Wife of Golden State Warrior star and NBA MVP Stephen Curry (m. 2011)
Started out her career as a Los Angeles-based model
Portrayed Keeley Hawkins in the television series 'Whittaker Bay' (2008)
Also acted in 'Underground Street Flippers,' 'Dan's Detour of Life,' and 'Love for Sale'
Known for her personalized lifestyle blog, 'Little Lights of Mine,' as well as her YouTube Channel of the same name
'Lights of Mine' blog and channel has attained some 61,000 followers on Twitter and 521,000 Instagram followers
Announced as the host of the new Food Network cooking show, 'At Home With Ayesha' (Apr. 2016).

Why she might be annoying:

She guest-starred in an episode of Hannah Montana.
She admits to being a regular Teen Mom watcher.
She and her husband are fond of doing kooky lip-sync vids.
She markets her own custom-made aprons.
Food Network probably gave her a show with the intent of capitalizing on the growing popularity following of her husband.
She has been accused of being judgmental and snobbish toward women who don't share her conservative views.
Although this may just be rooted in the complaints coming mostly from black women that black men hold her up as the standard that they want their women to meet.
She inadvertently set off a Twitter firestorm over several tweets she released about women's fashion choices (Dec. 7, 2015).
The specific context of the tweets, 'everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days, huh? Not my style. I like to keep my stuff covered for the one who matters' and 'Just looking at the latest fashion trends, I'll take classy over trendy any day of the week,' got her accused of indirectly calling other women trashy for their wardrobe choices.
She interrupted her husband during his historic interview after setting the Golden State Warriors' 73-9 season record; approaching the camera with her mother-in-law and mugging for the camera, coming off as drunk while doing so (Apr. 13, 2016).

Why she might not be annoying:

She is stunningly beautiful in an old-world way.
She has a refreshingly close relationship with both of her in-laws.
She and her husband met when they were teenagers attending a local church youth group in Charlotte.
She was courted persistently by Stephen when she moved to Los Angeles, but they didn't officially start dating until she returned to North Carolina.
Stephen admitted to crying tears of joy after seeing her at their wedding ceremony.
She not only cooks pre-game meals for her husband (usually pasta), but also brings post-game treats like homemade bread and cookies.
She markets her own brand of extra virgin olive oil with 10% of all proceeds going to help No Kid Hungry.
She and her husband actually asked guests to forego the purchasing of wedding gifts, instead telling them to donate, in their names, to ThanksUSA.org (2011).
Most controversies surrounding her tend to be predicated on the notion that 'b_tches be mad jealous!'
Twitterbros instigated a fake feud between herself and singer Kehlani, but neither woman took the bait.
She responded to criticisms that her daughter, Riley, distracted her husband from press conferences by writing 'Family matters! Our children matter! At the end of the day, when all the lights dim, and the cameras are gone, we are still here as his biggest, loudest, and most supportive cheerleaders!'
Some of, if not most of, their lip-sync videos come off as pretty adorable (lip-syncing to 'Frozen' songs, cooking with 'Chef Curry' to a mixtape, even remixing a Beach Boys tune with the Minion 'Banana' song during their White House trip).
