    While she was walking her dog, her 2002 Olympic Gold Medal was stolen from her home (January 26, 2011).

    She was also one of the first two American female skeleton racers to win Olympic medals.
    The colors she dyed on her hair during the 2002 Winter Olympics were the U.S. colors (red, white and blue).
