Why he might be annoying:

He played the race card as early as day four.
He accused others of being racist (pot calling the kettle black).
He has a hot temper and a foul mouth.
He has been compared to Louis Farrakhan and Malcolm X.
Despite being an English teacher his grammar and vocabulary are poor.

Why he might not be annoying:

He went the farthest of any black man so far on 'Survivor.'
He was a true underdog, being targeted almost every episode.
Mark Burnett and Jeff Probst have both called him one of the funniest people they have ever met.
He got plenty of air time and his commentary enlivened the show.
He was a better representative of Christian values than 'Survivor' winner Vecepia Towery.
He tries to be a role model for his students.
Along with Kathy he is likely to be one of the few cast-aways who will be remembered.
