Model

The Resume

    (July 31, 1924-December 26, 2010)
    Born in Inkster, Michigan
    Birth name was Geraldine Hoff
Artist J. Howard Miller used her picture as the basis for the 'We Can Do It' WW2 propaganda poster

Why she might be annoying:

Ironically, she worked in a factory during World War II for only a week.
The poster of her is often referred to as 'Rosie the Riveter,' but that was a different painting by Norman Rockwell.
She did not realize her picture was used for the image until 1984.

Why she might not be annoying:

She represented six million women who went to work in factories during WW2.
    She became a feminist icon.
She shared a last name with the model who posed for Rockwell's 'Rosie the Riveter,' Nancy Doyle.
