    Member of the White Rose Resistance Movement
    Executed by the Gestapo for treason
    Subject of the 2005 Academy Award-nominated film 'Sophie Scholl-Her Finals Days'

Why she might be annoying:

    She was idealistic.
    Her father was mayor of her hometown.
    She was highly religious.
    At 12, she joined the Hitler Youth over her family's objections.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She and older brother Hans formed the White Rose to oppose Nazism.
    They used passive resistance to spread their message.
    On February 18, 1943, while studying at the University of Munich, she was arrested for passing out anti-Nazi leaflets on campus.
    Her brother Hans and their friend Christoph Probst were also taken into custody.
    After a 4 day trial, all 3 were found guilty and beheaded a few hours after the verdict.
    She stood up for her beliefs and paid the ultimate price.
