Won $110,237 in cash and prizes on 'Press Your Luck' in 1984, a one-day game show record that stood for years

Why he might be annoying:

Prior to his appearance on 'Press Your Luck,' he was an unemployed ice cream truck driver, and had to borrow money to make the plane trip to the taping for the show.
After he won on 'Press Your Luck,' he lost it all in a bad housing investment deal before the show was cancelled a couple of years later.
He asked to participate in a tournament of champions to gain back some of his lost money, but the show politely declined.
His episode of 'Press Your Luck' has only aired once, as a two-parter, and has been prohibited from being shown since that airing.

Why he might not be annoying:

He studied hours of tapes of 'Press Your Luck' prior to his appearance, looking at all of the possible patterns on the game board, while focusing on how he could keep landing on spaces that would give him extra turns on the board and how he could avoid the 'whammies' that would take away everything he had won up to that point.
Thanks to this studying, he wasn't cheating when he won all of his cash and prizes.
After his appearance, the show had to change the patterns on the game's big board so that something like this would never happen on the show again.
