The Resume

    (January 10, 1981- )
    Born in New Jersey
    Businessman and investor
    Principal co-owner Kushner Properties
Purchased the 'New York Observer' newspaper, in 2006, for $10 million
Son of real estate developer Charles Kushner; Son-in-law to Donald Trump
Married Ivanka Trump at Trump National Golf Course in New Jersey (Oct. 25, 2009)
Net worth is $8.76 billion (as of 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

He withdrew his bid to purchase the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He was admitted to Harvard despite modest academic credentials (his father made a multi-million dollar donation to the school).
He has been accused of foregoing journalistic quality in favor of a tabloid-style approach to increase sales for The Observer.
His father was convicted on charges of tax evasion, illegal campaign donations and witness tampering in 2004.
That it was then-Attorney General Chris Christie who played a role in sending his dad to jail must have been a very awkward situation when Christie was bandied about as a potential running mate for his father-in-law.
His and Ivanka's wedding later attained a controversial significance when Donald Trump answered concerns that he had donated money to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign only as a condition that she and her husband would 'attend his daughter's wedding.'
Although, considering how steeped he and his family is in the New York Democrat fundraising machine, one could only imagine the Clintons would have shown up anyway.
He has been called 'the silent force' behind Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
He drew criticism for penning a response to an article critical of Trump from his own newspaper, one which also questioned if he had a conflict of interest being involved in the Trump campaign (Jul. 5, 2016).

Why he might not be annoying:

He likes to make balloon animals.
He is the grandson of Holocaust survivors.
He interned at Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau's office.
He made money in college by closing deals on residential buildings in Cambridge (his family provided the financial backing).
At the age of 26, he made the most expensive single-building property purchase in US history; the 666 Fifth Avenue Skyscraper purchase (2007).
Under his leadership, the Observer's online presence grew by over 1.3 million users.
He, along with his wife, was the deciding factor in Trump campaign's demoting of the controversial Corey Lewandowski.
He defended his father-in-law from accusations of bigotry by writing: 'In my opinion, accusations like racist and anti-Semite are being thrown around with a carelessness that risks rendering these words meaningless.'
By all accounts, he has a healthy marriage. His wife said of him: 'He’s so kind as a human being, I look up to him. He’s a bit of a hero of mine.... Sometimes I catch myself looking at him and being thankful that I have grown to a level of personal maturity that I would value so much the qualities he has.'
