Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Some sources listed his birth place as Burlington, Wisconsin.
He was nicknamed 'Braggo' because he was boastful about his hitting.
He became a journeyman player after leaving the White Sox, resulting in the nickname 'The Globetrotter.'
He was struck out 73 times making him the 1917 AL leader of that category.
He had a reputation for making enemies and being a self-promoter throughout his baseball career.
The Yankees let him go before the 1922 season started despite him saying his knee was fine.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first AL home run champion from the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox.
He was the two-time AL leader for turning double plays as a right fielder (1916 and 1917).
He was with the Yankees at the same time as his brother, Frank, who was a coach for the team.
He died while he was in a car that was hit by a newspaper truck.
