He originally attended Sacramento State University, before transferring to Fresno State during the COVID-19 pandemic.
His ascension to the Cowboys starting lineup was unexpected, as he filled in admirably as an injury replacement.
He drew praise from football pundits for his ability to successfully read offenses and make interceptions.
He set a new NFL record for most interception returns for touchdowns in a single season (2023).
