Why they might be annoying:

As with most death metal groups,the vocals are hard to discern.
Some of their songs contain Satanic overtones.
Some of their songs have titles such as 'Diva Satanika,' 'Demonic Science' and 'Let The Killing Begin.' They replaced Johan Liiva, the original vocalist, with German-born vocalist Angela Gossow in 2001 and the vocal style hardly changed.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their first album, 'Black Earth,' is cited as a landmark release in Swedish death metal.
Michael and Christopher Amott are brothers.
Michael and Christopher are extremely skilled guitarists.
Although Angela has a harsh,growly voice, she's actually quite attractive in person.
Their music often attacks the hypocrisy of world governments, religion and other related subjects.
They once toured with Cradle of Filth.
