He pronounced his name JOOS-tain.
He was divorced three times.
He said 'I ga-ron-tee!' 'How ya'll are?' 'Whooooooo!'
Many South Louisiana residents despised him especially Cajuns.
One Cajun advocate once said 'To hear him you'd think all Cajuns are barely literate and not very bright. He is not a Cajun, but this is the only image of a live Cajun many people have.'
He played the accordion.

He was voted one of the most influential Southerners of the 20th Century.
His first comedy album sold over a million.
He has his own brand of hot sauce.
He taught human relations courses at police academies in three states.
