Why she might be annoying:

    Very little is actually known about her.
    Part of her fame comes from politically correct wishful thinking about the role of women in ancient Greece.
    Her and her father's philosophy embraced hedonism.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She wrote forty books.
    She headed the school started by her father, Aristippus of Cyrene, after his death.
    It was said that she 'Was the splendor of Greece, possessed the beauty of Helen, had the virtue of Thirma, the soul of Socrates, and the tongue of Homer.'
    She taught for 33 years.
    She was named after the Greek goddess of virtue.
