The Resume

    (May 1, 2001- )
    Born in Ladue, Missouri
World's smallest horse (verified by Guinness Book of World Records in 2006)
    Height just over 17 inches
    Weight 57 pounds
Owned by Kay and Paul Goessling, miniature horse breeders

Why she might be annoying:

Her owners call her a 'mini-mini' because she is a miniature horse born with dwarfism.
Some people think she looks more like a dog or pig than a horse.
Because he sired a dwarf, Thumbelina's father was gelded.
She is aggressive with other horses.
She prefers the farm's dog kennel to the stables.
Her owners' son said his parents would sell him before they would sell Thumbelina.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was so small at birth she was not expected to live.
She has to wear braces on her undersized legs some of the time.
    She loves humans, especially children.
Her owners refuse to breed her.
Her life expectancy is only half of a normal horse's.
In 2007 she visited children’s hospitals, group homes, shelters, camps and schools across the US.
