Model

The Resume

    (April 28, 1954- )
    Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil
    Marjorie Cezar de Andrade
Popular New York-based fashion model of the '80s/90s
Acted in 'O.T.S.,' 'Velocity Rules,' 'Monaco Travelogue,' 'Open Fire,' and 'Dracula's Sister'
Posed for the covers of Manchete, Esquire, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Playgirl
Appeared in advertising campaigns for Revlon, L’Oreal and Lancôme
Participated in Telenovelas 'Years of Rebeldes' as Maria Isabel Soares (1992) and 'Xica da Silva' as Amelia de Sepulveda Toleda (1996)
Designer clothing brands include The Goddess Collection and Marjorie Style
Appointed as representative for the United Nations-Brazil Association with the UN Secretariat and the Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), in 1998

Why she might be annoying:

She started modeling in her home country at the age of 14.
She had a highly publicized but short-lived fling with Formula-One racing star Ayrton Senna.
Her career as a celebrity interviewer never really took off.
A running joke in the industry was that the only reason she got jobs as a supermodel was because her 'shortness of height' made her stand out more.
She relied heavily on plastic surgery to maintain a youthful appearance, going into the 2000s.
She was caught throwing shade at Brooke Shields, during an on-camera interview for a West Manhattan AIDS Research-Art Gallery fundraiser.
She took a stab at writing her own health-and-wellness book (according to her blog to be titled 'The Secret Of Health And Well Being') but nothing came of it.
Her Facebook profile reads 'Works at Founder and CEO Feel Good Brands' but the company's link leads to virtually nowhere.

Why she might not be annoying:

She studied marketing at Central University of Fine Arts at Sao Paulo.
She studied Film Distribution at the Hollywood Film Institute.
She was a presenter on the NFL All Star Comedy Blitz program.
She is one of the shortest supermodels in the history of the business - just under 5'4.
Contrary to popular belief, she had difficulties finding modeling jobs when she first came to Los Angeles for this very reason.
In fact, when she was first discovered by photographer David Frank Ray discovered her at a studio gallery, he was told by a colleague 'forget it, she's too short!'
She took a years-long hiatus from modeling to focus on raising her two children.
She has written her own columns for Elite Magazine and its sister magazine Elite Travel.
She is active with humanitarian work, serving on the board of The Brazil Foundation.
At her peak, she was one of the most beautiful women in the world (legit - she had the delicate bone structure of a Vivien Leigh but the same dreamy eyes of a Liz Taylor)
