    He originally wanted to be a rodeo clown growing up.
    He was originally traded to the Dodgers as part of then-GM Paul DePoedsta's sabermetric strategy.
    He spent the bulk of his career on bad teams.
    He was initally claimed on waivers by the Giants in order to prevent the Padres from acquiring him.

    He is one of the few players who throws left handed and bats from the right side of the plate.
    He was a key cog in the Giants surge during the final two months of the regular season (2010).
    He was considered a clutch performer during the Giants playoff run.
    He hit three home runs during the post-season, which ended up breaking no-hitters.
