Why Charles in Charge might be annoying:

The cast (i.e. the family) changed during the switch from CBS to syndication.
The first version of the theme song was slow.
When the show first started, Charles would dress as preppy as Alex Keaton on 'Family Ties.'
The show was off the air for more than a year between the switch from CBS to syndication.
In the second family, instead of a father, there was a grandpa.
How can a governess get a job in the same house but with a different family?

Why Charles in Charge might not be annoying:

The theme song improved upon going into syndication.
The first family consisted of 'Animal House' alum James Widdoes.
The show launched the career of future Baywatch babe Nicole Eggert.
In the end, Charles got accepted to Princeton for grad school.
It was perhaps one of the best syndicated sitcoms.
Unlike Alex Keaton, Charles went from dressing like a preppie to dressing casual.
