Why he might be annoying:

They are much more popular in Europe than anywhere else.
Before joining the band, Tarja had no knowledge of metal music.
Their lyrics are mostly the typical, hokey, fantasy-inspired lyrics associated with power metal.
Their album covers also tend to be over-dramatic and cheesy.
Tarja looks pained when she sings.
Often when they perform their song 'Nemo,' a plush doll of Disney's Nemo character is thrown onstage.
Not surprisingly, media attention seems to be focused exclusively on Tarja.
The band has a goth image.

Why he might not be annoying:

Tarja is a classically-trained opera singer, and her vocals give the band's music a unique flair.
Although limited to cult status in the US, they're extremely popular in Europe.
'Century Child' made sales records by going gold within two hours of release. After two weeks, the record had gone multi-platinum.
The idea for the band was first conceived around a campfire in 1996 by Tarja, Tuomas and Erno.
