Why she might be annoying:

She was cold and vain.
Her granddaughter described her as being 'cursed with great beauty' but also 'anti-sex.'
She cared more about her social status than about her family.
She refused to sell the rights to 'Dracula' for a movie version.
When the silent vampire film 'Nosferatu' was made, she successfully sued the film makers, and asked for every copy to be destroyed.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was regarded as a great beauty in her youth.
She was courted by many noteworthy Victorians, including Oscar Wilde and W. S. Gilbert.
Bram Stoker paid more attention to his best friend than he did to her.
She finally allowed a 'Dracula' film (the famous Bela Lugosi version) to be made.
Some say she skillfully managed her husband's intellectual property (she certainly made a lot of money from it).
