This is a show that exploits man and woman at their worst.
The contestants sell each other out for a grand prize of $1 million.
They sometimes eat rats to survive.
It opened the door to some of the worst TV under the genre of Reality TV.
The first winner Richard Hatch went to jail for not paying the taxes on his money.
According to his wife, Survivor 5 winner Brian Heidik tried to shoot their dog with a bow and arrow and stopped showering after his victory.
Why Survivor (TV) might not be annoying
It popularized Reality TV to the mainstream.
It was compelling to many.
Eventually, its popularity will waiver.
