    Born in Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom
    Obtained Bachelor of Arts from Oxford University (1512)
    Became Master of Arts (July 1515)
    Translated the Bible from Greek into English (1525)
    Printed The Obedience of a Christian Man (1528), The Parable of the Wicked Mammon (1528), and The Practice of Prelates (1530)
    Strangled to death at the stake, and the corpse was burned

Why he might be annoying:

    He had two last names; one being Tyndale, and the other being Hitchin.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He wanted commoners to be able to read the Bible.
    Translating the Bible into everyday languages was neither easy nor legal in those days, so he had to go into hiding.
    Most of his translations paved way to the King James Version of the Bible.
    He was condemned a heretic by English authorities.
    Aside from English, he was also fluent in French, Greek, Hebrew, German, Italian, Latin, and Spanish.
    His book, the Practice of Prelates, condemned King Henry VIII’s divorce.
