Why he might be annoying
Prior to Brian Lawton and Alexandre Daigle, he was the poster boy for first overall draft bust.
He often shuffled between the NHL and the minors during his pro career.
He spent his entire NHL career on pitiful Capitals and Red Wings teams.
The Capitals got frustrated with his development as a player, they traded him after two seasons.
His pro career ended prematurely as a result of injuries.
Why he might not be annoying
He was the first ever draft pick in the history of the Washington Capitals franchise.
He recorded a 92 point season while playing for Regina of the WHL in his draft year.
He relied on farming and was a co-owner of a sporting goods store in Calgary during his playing career to support his family.
He was the first Capitals player to record an assist in four consecutive games.
He was a member of the inaugural Capitals roster.
