The Resume

Why Law and Order: Criminal Intent might be annoying:

It premiered almost three weeks after the September 11 attacks.
Like most shows set in New York at the time, the producers were forced to remove images of the World Trade Center from the program.
As with the other 'Law and Order' shows, many episodes feature a 'ripped from the headlines' plot.
Some fans of the show were disappointed with the cast changes after the fifth season.
Citing production costs, the show switched networks with NBC airing the newer seasons as 'reruns.'
It has not garnered acclaim in the awards circuit like its sister shows.

Why Law and Order: Criminal Intent might not be annoying:

It brought Vincent D'Onofrio back into the spotlight.
Two characters were transplanted from previous shows: Robert Goren from 'Homicide' and Mike Logan from the original 'Law and Order.'
It received high ratings for its time slot during the first few seasons.
The series focuses on the mind of the suspect or criminal rather than the detectives or lawyers.
Many famous faces have guest starred on the series.
