Why she might be annoying:

Several of her early plays were adapted into silent films that have since been lost.
Although 17 of her plays were staged on Broadway during her life, as of 2010, none of them have been revived on Broadway.
Many critics felt that she beat Lillian Hellman for the Pulitzer solely because Hellman's nominated play, 'The Children's Hour,' dealt with lesbianism.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was the third woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
'The Greeks Had A Word For It' was adapted into the Marilyn Monroe comedy 'How To Marry A Millionaire.'
She quipped about Hollywood screenwriting, 'All you have to do is write six pages every day, then grab the money and run for the train.'
