    Appeared on Broadway in ‘Jesus Christ, Superstar’ (1971), ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’ (1971) ‘Pippin’ (1972), ‘Over Here!’ (1974), ‘The Tap Dance Kid’ (1983), ‘Mulebone’ (1991), and ‘The Lion King’ (1997)

Why he might be annoying:

    He portrayed the bunch of grapes in Fruit of the Loom underwear commercials.
    When he ad-libbed lines during ‘The Little Mermaid,’ he was told to stick to the script, with the admonishment, ‘You’re not Robin Williams.’
    He also voiced Sebastian in several direct-to-video ‘Little Mermaid’ sequels.

Why he might not be annoying:

    ‘Little Mermaid’ director Ron Clements said about his performance of ‘Under the Sea,’ We videotaped that whole session. We showed it to the entire staff for inspiration because it was so much fun to look at.’
    The ‘Little Mermaid’ producers had a change of heart about his ad-libs, and arranged a special recording session where he was allowed to improvises as much as he wanted, with much of the material being included in the completed film.
    He was twice nominated for the Tony as Best Featured Actor in a Musical, for ‘The Tap Dance Kid’ and ‘The Lion King.’
    He ran his own drama school, the Hudson Valley Conservatory, in Walden, New York.
