Co-authored a memoir (with Melissa Müller) about the last days of Hitler - 'Until the Final Hour' (2002)
Book basis for the 2002 documentary film 'Im toten Winkel (Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary)'

Why she might be annoying:

She gave up her dream of becoming a ballet dancer to work at the German Chancellery.
She claimed Hitler was a 'kindly, thoughtful man' who 'practically never mentioned the word Jew' in her presence.
Hitler encouraged her to marry SS-officer Hans Hermann Junge, so in June of 1943 she did.
She steadfastly stated she was unaware of the atrocities her boss engaged in, a claim Simon Wiesenthal Centre director Efraim Zuroff rejects as 'blind loyalty of far too many Germans whose allegiance to Hitler and the Nazi party enabled the implementation of the final solution.'

Why she might not be annoying:

Her naiveté and lack of interest in politics made her a prime target of Hitler's charismatic persona.
Rushed marriage or not, her husband of just one year was killed in battle, making her a widow at age 24.
She dutifully recorded Hitler's last will and testament and was present in his bunker when he committed suicide.
Shortly thereafter, she was captured by Soviet troops and held in a Russian Gulag for close to a year before being released without charge.
After World War II she lamented that she felt a sense of guilt and shame for 'liking the greatest criminal ever to have lived.'
She lived in relative obscurity until her book came out, then became a minor celebrity.
She stated 'Now that I've let go of my story, I can let go of my life,' and just days after the book was published she died.
