Why Criminal Minds might be annoying
Many of the storylines are very dark and violent in tone.
During half of season five, Hotchner (Gibson) and Morgan (Moore) swtiched positions of FBI Unit Chief and Supervisory Special Agent.
Hotchner was divorced from his wife who was later murdered.
The producers hoped to capitalize on the success of the CSI franchise.
Despite both critical success and high ratings, the show has received very little recognition in award circles.
Why Criminal Minds might not be annoying
It differs from many criminal system procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself.
It garnered its highest ratings from an episode which aired after Super Bowl XLI.
The show also ranked 9 in DVR playback.
It gives 'Law and Order: Criminal Intent' a run for its money.
