The Resume

    (1962-1966)
    Born in Glendora, California
    Ron Wilson, drums
    Jim Fuller, lead guitar
    Jim Berryhill, rhythm guitar
    Pat Connolly, bass guitar (1962-65)

Recorded the single 'Wipe Out' (1963)

Why they might be annoying:

    They were one-hit wonders.
Pash, who did not play on 'Wipe Out' (he was working in his father's store at the time of the recording session), sued over his picture being included on the band's debut album.
They reunited to re-record their old songs for K-Tel (1976).
Fuller and Berryhill led different versions of the band on the oldies circuit.
Several obituaries of Morton Downey, Jr., erroneously credited him with writing 'Wipe Out.'

Why they might not be annoying:

'Wipe Out' was written by the band in the studio in ten minutes as a single B-side.
'Wipe Out' was certified gold with over a million singles sold, and was a hit twice, reaching #2 in 1963 and #16 in 1966.
'Wipe Out,' according to Encyclopedia Britannica, 'featured the most identifiable drum solo in rock history.'
After the band's initial break-up, Fuller joined the Seeds and Forssi joined Love.
Wilson set a drumming endurance record by playing 104 hours 30 minutes non-stop.
