Why she might be annoying:

She would often throw tempers.
She suffered from severe depression.
She shot herself eight minutes into her show (1974).
Her last words before the suicide were: 'In keeping with Channel 40's policy of bringing you the latest in blood and guts in living color, we bring you another first - an attempted suicide.'
Oddly enough, she had been joking about killing herself on the air just a week before.
She inspired some copycats, including Budd Dwyer.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her parents were divorced.
She made television history.
She gave puppet shows for hospitals of mentally retarded patients.
She lingered for several hours after her stunt before finally dying.
She certainly went out with a bang (no pun intended).
The acclaimed film, 'Network,' was partially based on her.
