Acted in ‘The White Rose (1923),' ‘The Great Gatsby (1925),' ‘The Mysterious Dr. Fu Manchu (1929),' ‘Tarzan the Ape Man (1932),' ‘Tarzan and His Mate (1934),' ‘The Saint Strikes Back (1939),' ‘Batman (1966)' and ‘Which Way to the Front (1970)'

Why he might be annoying:

He was a very stiff actor.
He modeled shirts in magazine advertisements.
He got his big movie break from D.W. Griffith.
He nearly attempted suicide in the 1940s when his career was low.
He fell from major star status to goofy children's show co-star.
He took his ‘Batman' role way too seriously.
He didn't get along well with fellow actor Stafford Repp.
He didn't think the show was all that good.
