He was injury prone during his junior career, which played a role in his late draft selection.
Prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics, he was virtually unheard of outside of Canadian and Nashville hockey circles.
He has a girl's first name.
Why he might not be annoying
He was a member of the Kelowna Rockets first Memorial Cup championship team (2004).
He earned a gold medal as a member of Team Canada at the Winter Olympics (2010).
He has a slapshot which rivals that of Al MacInnis.
He is the first homegrown player in the history of the Predators to be appointed team captain.
He was credited with a goal, despite his slapshot ripping through the net in an 8-2 victory against Germany.
