Why Veep might be annoying
It was originally rejected by ABC.
The main character is divorced.
Viewers never actually see the President of the United States.
Everybody in the series acts like a jerkass.
In one episode, Selina is constantly seen smoking en route to a trip to Finland.
Why Veep might not be annoying
It helped Louis-Dreyfus stave off the 'Seinfeld' curse after her other sitcom 'The New Adventures of Old Christine' had ended.
The series also has a few familiar faces such as Chlumsky, Hale, and Walsh.
The series often has affectionate parodies of the American and British political systems.
It garnered critical acclaim including an Emmy for Louis-Dreyfus.
As a result of Luis-Dreyfus's Emmy win for her performance in this series, she became one of the few actresses to win Emmys for roles in different series.
