Won the Heisman Trophy and AP Athlete of the Year (1946)
Appeared in 'The Spirit of West Point' (1947)
Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (1961)

Why he might be annoying:

He had to repeat his plebe year at West Point after failing math.
An arrangement that would have allowed him to play pro football by granting him extended leaves in exchange for a longer service commitment was scuttled by the army after the deal leaked.
He tore his knee cartilage while filming 'The Spirit of West Point,' which limited his pro career.
He was married to actress Terry Moore for just over a year.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had the highest score ever recorded on West Point's physical fitness test.
At West Point, he won 10 letters: four in football, three in baseball, two in track and one in basketball.
His yards per carry totals of 11.5 for a season (1945) and 8.26 for a career remain NCAA records after six decades.
He was engaged to Elizabeth Taylor.
A sports writer said, 'West Point may have made an officer out of Glenn Davis, but he was already a gentleman.'
