The Resume

    (June 15, 1956- )
Born in New York Mills, New York
Best known for portraying Lt. Saavik in 'Star Trek III: The Search for Spock' (1984) and 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home' (1986)
Also appeared in 'Ghost Story' (1981), 'LBJ: The Early Years' (1987), 'Hexed' (1993) and 'Recoil' (1998)

Why she might be annoying:

She replaced Kirstie Alley as Saavik.
There were plans for her character to be pregnant with Spock's child, but the subplot was dropped and her role in 'Star Trek IV' was reduced to essentially a cameo.
Despite having been in the movies, she had to audition to portray a Vulcan (disguised as a Romulan) in Star Trek: The Next Generation: 'Never once was I acknowledged as someone who had a history with Star Trek of any kind, which was odd to me.'
She said, 'I tend to get a little too emotional.' (Ironic for someone best remembered as a Vulcan.)

Why she might not be annoying:

During filming of the 'Star Trek' movies, she was told to put antibiotics on her ears each night so the glue used to keep her pointed ears attached would not cause a rash.
She joined an organization to mentor female writers, Women Writing for a Change.
After her acting career wound down, she found success as a real estate agent.
