Why he might be annoying:

    He was passed over in the NHL Entry Draft, despite the fact he posted solid numbers at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
    He never played a full season during his career.
    He was traded by the Penguins early in the 1990-91 season, despite the fact he was one of the mainstays on the team's blueline in the early part of the Mario Lemieux era.
    To add further insult, he was a member of the North Stars team that lost to the Penguins in the Stanley Cup Finals that same year.
    He shares his name in NHL circles with a forward who was a member of the inaugural Flyers roster two decades earlier.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a physical defenseman, who wasn't afraid to sacrifice his body in order to help his team.
    He got to play three seasons with the North Stars, before the franchise's eventual move to <14324>Dallas, Texas He was a member of the inaugural Coyotes team following their relocation from Winnipeg.
    He grew up in Minnesota as a North Stars fan, and considered it a thrill to play for the franchise upon being acquired.
    He co-founded the flexxCOACH program, which provides support programs and resources for coaches involved in youth sports.
