Why he might be annoying:

    He was campaign manager for George McGovern’s ill-fated presidential run (1972).
    During the 1984 Democratic Primary, Walter Mondale criticized his platform by saying ‘where’s the beef?’
    He had an affair with Donna Rice which shattered his second Presidential run (1988).
    A picture of Donna Rice sitting on his lap made the cover of the ‘National Enquirer.’
    He is considered to be the first politician to launch his own blog.
    He authored a series of political novels under the pen name ‘John Blackthorn.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    The first time he ran for public office, he was elected as a Senator from Colorado.
    As a Senator, he introduced several environmental policies designed to make the US ‘energy independent.’
    Prior to running for the Senate, he was a lawyer with his own private practice in Denver.
    Following September 11, 2001, he became a highly sought after national security expert.
    He graduated Yale Law School (1964) and earned a D.Phil from Oxford University.
    He said: ‘My greatest fear is never having another opportunity to serve my country.’
