Owner of the NFL's Cleveland Browns (1961-95) and the Baltimore Ravens (1996-2004)

Why he might be annoying:

He fired coach Paul Brown, which was notable considering the Browns were named after him.
He criticized the moves of the Oakland Raiders to Los Angeles and the Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis.
But, then moved the Browns to Baltimore.
He claimed financial hardship as the reason for the move, yet he refused to sell the team.
Critics thought his debts were a result of his money management, especially since the Browns usually sold out games.
He refused to attend Ravens games in Cleveland.
He made his fortune from borrowing money (which probably explains the financial hardship).

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up poor during the Depression.
He received many death threats from angry Browns fans.
He returned the NFL to Baltimore after the Colts left.
He was willing to leave the Browns' name, colors and history in Cleveland and gave the team in Baltimore a new identity.
He won a NFL championship with the Browns (1964) and a Super Bowl with the Ravens (2000).
He played a key role behind 'Monday Night Football,' the AFL-NFL merger and revenue sharing.
