The Resume

    (January 21, 1964-October 24, 2013)
    Born in Sacramento, California
    Defensive tackle
    Attended University of Washington
Drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 1987 Draft by the Detroit Lions
Played for the Detroit Lions (1987-88), Buffalo Bills (1991) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1992)

Why he might be annoying:

He managed to rack up over $1,000 in parking tickets on the Washington campus; he then tried to claim he was a victim of discrimination.
He was ranked #7 by Yahoo!Sports and #13 by ESPN on lists of the biggest draft busts since the NFL-AFL merger.
He had more DUI convictions (6) than NFL starts (2).
At his fifth DUI trial, after the judge asked him why he should receive leniency, he replied 'Because I’m Reggie Rogers. In case you don’t remember, I once carried the entire state of Washington on my back.'
Driving with a blood alcohol level at nearly twice the legal limit, he ran a stop sign and plowed into another car, killing three teenagers (October 20, 1988).
He was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and sentenced to 16 months in prison.
He whined to an interviewer, 'That accident is what's stopping me from getting into the Husky Hall of Fame.'
Less than a month before his death, he was arrested on domestic violence charges, after his wife claimed he hit on the head with a flashlight during an argument about his drinking.

Why he might not be annoying:

In high school, a gang attacked him and tried to cut off his ears with scissors.
He played both basketball and football at Washington.
His drinking problems began after the death of his older brother Don (1986).
The Lions released him not because of the pending manslaughter charges but because he broke his neck in the crash.
