    After arguing with his father, he was banished from St. James Palace and excluded from all public ceremonies.
    When he was king, he quarreled with his oldest son Frederick and banished him from court.
    He led his country into the War of the Austrian Succession, which was unpopular with the British who felt he was favoring Hanoverian interests over English ones.
    He had a son out of wedlock.
    He died on the toilet.
    He was the last British monarch to personally lead his troops in battle. (Battle of Dettingen, June 27, 1743)
    His disinterest in the details of government contributed to the decline of royal power and the rise of Parliament.
    For his coronation, <10672>George Fridiric Handel<10672> wrote the anthem 'Zadok the Priest,' which has been performed at every subsequent British coronation.
    The US state of Georgia was named after him.
