Why they might be annoying:

O'List left the band after getting into an argument with Thompson on stage during their audition for EG Management.
After Kenton was fired, the band no longer had a full-time bassist, though it did have a permanent oboist.
After Eno quit (over the inevitable 'creative differences'), Ferry hired Jobson as a replacement without consulting the other band members.
'Love Is The Drug' was their only song to make the US Top 40.
Eno said of the band's reunion, 'I just don't like the idea. It leaves a bad taste.'

Why they might not be annoying:

They had a great visual style.
Their album covers featured models Amanda Lear (For Your Pleasure), Marilyn Cole (Stranded) and Jerry Hall (Siren).
Rolling Stone called their mid-70s albums 'the zenith of British art rock.'
Commenting on their diverse influences, Mackay said, 'We certainly didn't invent eclecticism, but we did say and prove that rock n roll could accommodate - well, anything really.'
Ferry had a successful solo career while Eno became an ambient music pioneer and a leading producer.
