    He married and divorced Dionne Warwick twice.
    The two first married in 1966 and parted in May 1967 only to remarry in August 1967 and separated again in 1975.
    He formed his own music group only to end up getting upstaged by the backup vocalist he married.
    He was an extravagant womanizer who went through his wife's money like water.
    He fathered two children with Dionne, but was reportedly absent from their lives after the second divorce.
    According to Dionne his struggling to deal with her being 'the main breadwinner' as the cause of their marriages' breakdown.
    As part of the second divorce settlement, he requested ithe Rolls Royce Dionne bought him in 1970 (he could be seen driving around Beverly Hills in the Rolls with various young women in tow).
    The court denied his request for $2000 a month in support pending a community property trial after he insisted he was making $500 a month in comparison to Warwick making $100,000 a month.
    He appeared in Elvis Presley's 1969 film 'Change of Habit.'
    He spent four years in the United States Navy as an electrician.
    He was accepted into MIT, but turned it down to be a drummer.
    When Warner Brothers wouldn't distribute his and Henry Hathaway's film 'Hangup,' Elliott took charge of it and subsequently distributed as a Blaxploitation film.
    His drumming can be heard on four tracks on the Together Again! album by Willis Jackson.
    He was the backing organist for DeeDee Ford along with saxophonist/flautist Joe Thomas.
    Dionne cheated on him with Tim Brown and Gianni Russo.
    When he died in Los Angeles, Warwick paid to have his body flown to his hometown of Baltimore, where she paid for his funeral. Warwick attended the funeral with their boys but left the church immediately after the service.
