Premise: A New York City cartoonist looks for love while sharing an apartment with her colorist

Why Caroline in the City might be annoying:

Despite being aired on NBC, the show was produced by CBS.
In its first season, it aired as part of the 'Must See TV' lineup which included 'Friends.'
Each episode's title began with 'Caroline and....'
She revealed that she started cartooning when she drew cartoons of her violent brother as a child.
The banter between Caroline and Richard was often completely ridiculous.
Richard's ex Julia (Sofia Milos) would create a love triangle among them and Caroline.
Some fans say the show 'jumped the shark' when Caroline and Richard broke the romantic tension and made out.
However, Caroline refused to wed Richard because he wanted children.
Some NBC stars appeared as their characters from his or her respective series such as Matthew Perry as Chandler from 'Friends' or David Hyde Pierce as Niles Crane from 'Frasier.'
NBC shifted the show to do different timeslots eventually settling for the Monday one in the final two seasons.
As a result, the ratings plummeted.
The series finale had Caroline about to marry another man named Randy, but Richard shows up leaving Caroline in a dilemma over who she wants to wed. Her decision was left in an unresolved cliffhanger.

Why Caroline in the City might not be annoying:

In its first season, the series was the fourth most-watched television program of the season.
It was often at times funny to see the tension between Richard and Caroline.
One episode implied that she had a rivalry with real life cartoonist Cathy Guisewite .
There were many memorable guest stars.
The show made Lea Thompson a star.
