She did not originate Ann Landers, she replaced the creator of the Ann Landers column, who had died (1955).
She copyrighted the name Ann Landers.
She married on the same day as her twin sister (1939).
She divorced after thirty five years of marriage (1975).
She called Pope John Paul II, a polack (1995-she later apologized).
Her name was Esther Pauline and her twin Sister was Pauline Esther.
Her nickname was Eppie.
She caused a rift with her sister after her sister went into the advice column business three months after she did.
Like her sister, her daughter continued her advice column.
