Why Seattle Pilots might be annoying:

They had to pay the Pacific Coast League $1 million to compensate the loss of the Seattle Rainiers.
Their home, Sick's Stadium (built in 1938), held only 17,000 and was inadequate to handle major league crowds.
Bad water pressure created problems and though they added 8,000 new seats by June, many were obstructed view.
They signed Lou Piniella, but traded him to the Kansas City Royals before season's start - he went on to win Rookie of the Year.
Their season attendance was an underachieving 677,944, leaving the franchise nearly broke.
The team finished their division in last place at 64-98, 33 games out of first.
Soriano met secretly with Selig at season's end to sell the team, but word leaked out and Washington state senators nixed the plan.

Why Seattle Pilots might not be annoying:

They won their first game April 8, beating the California Angels 4-3.
A standing room only crowd of 17,150 saw them beat the Chicago White Sox 7-0 in their home opener April 11.
Third baseman Tommy Harper lead the majors with 73 stolen bases.
Three separate deals to keep them in Seattle fell through (one deal was one vote shy of approval).
On April 1, 1970, six days before Opening Day, the organization declared bankruptcy and Selig quickly bought them and whisked them away to Milwaukee.
Seattle Pilots memorabilia has become a hot collector's item.
