    Of his twelve books, ten are in the Mitch Rapp series.
    His book titles are clichés.
    He admitted he was a horrible speller who skipped whole words when typing.
    His books are all about terrorism and Islam.
    He had to self-publish his first book.
    He was basically a poor man's Tom Clancy.
    As of 2009, none of books were filmed.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He tried to enlist in the United States Marine Corps but was turned down due to convulsions and seizures he suffered growing up.
    He had to overcome dyslexia to become a writer.
    His books are so realistic that he was investigated by the FBI.
    He was a big rock and roll fan.
    Critics either hated his books or ignored them.
