Premise: Apparent ordinary people become aware that they have super powers
    Created by Tim Kring
Emerson Electric filed suit because in the premiere episode, they showed Claire getting her hand mangled in their In-Sink-Erator (October 2, 2006).
The show uses comic book logic, things that happen can easily be reverted back and nothing needs to substantiated.
There are many inconsistencies and goofs caught by alert viewers.
Despite appealing to younger viewers there is graphic violence.
Before Emerson's lawsuit was decided, NBC edited out the scene.
It was the highest rated NBC drama series in five seasons.
It references other sci-fi shows and comics, especially Star Trek.
The show is geared to the comic book generation.
The open scene of the pilot featured an eye opening as a tribute to Lost (Which uses that as their tribute to the Twilight Zone).
Each character has an individual writer.
The creator claims to have a five year scenario, much like the creators of Lost claim.
