Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Despite being a scorer in the Western Hockey League, he was passed over in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.
He played for seven different teams.
He shared his name with the other player.
In a coincidence, he was also a British Columbia native playing for the Canucks at the same time as the other Greg Adams, which led to the team broadcasters addressing the younger one as Gus Adams.
He struggled to establish himself as a full-time NHL player.

Why he might not be annoying:

He scored 62 goals in his final season with Victoria of the Western Hockey League (1979-80).
He was part of the package of players the Whalers received in the Mark Howe trade.
He had a brief run of successs with the Capitals during his five seasons with the team.
The younger Greg Adams joked that he nearly lost his first name playing with the Canucks as a result of him being acquired by the team.
He became a successful entrepreneur in the Vancouver Island region, following his retirement from hockey.
