Why he might be annoying:

On occasion he would play with drumsticks.
His original record company, Cobra was unsuccessful.
Chess Records, who made only blues records, considered his music 'mother fucking noise.'
Chess hated his voice and Rush was on the record company at the time.
He is mad at himself for not going to England like Jimi Hendrix did in the 1960's.
Hendrix and Eric Clapton even encouraged him to go to England.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is one of the most successful Blues artists of all-time.
Many British rockers listened to him to understand American blues.
Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix both did some of his guitar tricks, like playing with your feet.
Eric Clapton once said 'Buddy Guy is by far and without a doubt the best guitar player.'
Clapton calls his music 'total freedom of spirit.'
Jimi Hendrix had cancelled some of his concerts just to here him play.
Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Bill Wyman and Stevie Ray Vaughan are huge fans of his, just to name a few.
He has worked with Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Rolling Stones.
    His mentor was Muddy Waters.
He has very high energy, even in his 70's.
