Why he might be annoying:

He went by the nickname 'Bubba.'
Despite recording 23 sacks his rookie season, it wasn't acknowledged due to the fact sacks didn't become an official NFL stastic until the 1982 season.
He bounced around three different teams following his departure from the Lions.
He was unable to replicate the same degree of success he had with the other teams he played on, after the Lions.
He admitted his intentions to play pro football were financially driven.
He referred to football as being a 'dumb game.'

He was considered one of the pillars of the Lions famed 'Silver Rush' defensive unit.
He recorded five sacks in a single game (1978).
He made three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances in his first three NFL seasons.
He was acknowleged as being the NFL's all-time single season sack leader, after the league added sack statistics from 1960 to 1981.
He, along with his daughter appeared on 'Shark Tank' to promote their business that specalizes in selling fully cooked and deboned ribs.
