Older brother of NASCAR driver Jeff Burton
Has driven for A.D. Dilliard Motorsports (1994-1995), Bill Davis Racing (1995-2003), Haas CNC Racing (2004), and Morgan McClure Motorsports (2006- )

Why he might be annoying:

He has a thick Southern accent.
He failed to qualify for the first two races of his rookie season.
He crashed out of four races in his rookie season.
After his release from his 2004 ride, he did not race for two years.
During this time, he incessantly whined about not having a ride, but turned down offers from less competitive teams.
He won the 2002 Daytona 500 after a mishap by Sterling Marlin.
He has only five Cup wins, but was often rumored to be a candidate for almost every open Cup seat between 2004 and 2006.

He is a dedicated conservationist.
He was appointed by Mark Warner to the Virginia Board of Game and Inland Fisheries.
He is a spokesman for Virginia's state parks.
He graduated from Hargrave Military Academy
Sponsors didn't want him to drive for them because of his accent and age.
His first win in 1995 was a minor upset in NASCAR history.
He has never driven for a major NASCAR team.
