Why he might be annoying:

    He engaged in inappropriate behavior on school property during class hours.
    Some people considered his actions with Janet Lofton unethical and adulterous regardless of where the behavior occurred.
    After his behavior was made public, he used health issues as the reason for resigning his position.
    Some students' families were concerned that a resignation instead of termination would not affect his chances for future employment in education.
    There was a police investigation of the recordings to check for illegal activity.
    He had been suspected of inappropriate behavior with school staff before the recordings became public.
    He was accused of various questionable actions regarding his position, including referring to some students as 'white trailer trash'.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He claimed that his behavior in the school office was recorded without his knowledge.
    It was unknown who accessed his office, planted the hidden camera and mailed recording copies to students' families.
    It was suspected that the recordings were distributed to coincide with scheduled school board elections at that time.
    He publicly apologized for his actions at the school.
    No criminal charges were filed against him for his behavior.
